Fellowships

FELLOWSHIP PARTNERS, REQUIREMENTS AND CONTENT:

We are proud to offer fellowships to our Stowe Story Labs in partnership with industry partners. Here is some information about each fellowship:

PAGE International Screenwriting Awards —  Widely recognized as one of the most important resources for emerging screenwriters, the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards was founded in 2003 by an alliance of Hollywood producers, agents, and development executives to discover the most exciting new scripts by up-and-coming writers from around the world.  Two PAGE Fellowships will be awarded annually to PAGE Quarter-finalists who apply to the Labs. We will confirm with the team at PAGE which Stowe Story Labs applicants also made the quarter-finals with PAGE and will award two such applicants with a PAGE fellowship. The fellowship covers fees and meals at Stowe Story Labs,  a year of ongoing mentoring and the recipients will receive a free copy of Final Draft 9, courtesy of Final Draft.

Tangerine Entertainment — Tangerine is a production company founded to support women in film, partners with Stowe Story Labs on the Tangerine Fellowship, to be awarded annually to an outstanding female screenwriter, filmmaker or creative producer. The fellowship covers fees and meals at the 2016 Lab and the 2017 Spring Writers' Retreat,  a year of ongoing mentoring and the recipients will receive a free copy of Final Draft 9, courtesy of Final Draft.. 

Champlain College Division of Communication and Creative Media — Champlain College's outstanding film program integrates academic excellence with the development of strong professional skills, emphasizing innovation, creativity, technological expertise, critical reflection, and professionalism.  Two Champlain Fellowships are awarded each year to outstanding students (or a graduating senior) studying screenwriting or filmmaking at Champlain College. The fellowships covers fees, meals and lodging at the Fall Labs and includes a free copy of Final Draft 9, courtesy of Final Draft.

NewEnglandFilm.com — The premier online resource and magazine for film and video production in New England, NewEnglandFilm.com partners with Stowe Story Labs to provide a fellowship to the Fall Labs to a emerging New England-based screenwriter, filmmaker and/or creative producer showing tremendous promise and talent. The fellowship covers fees and meals at the Labs, and includes a free copy of Final Draft 9, courtesy of Final Draft.

Vermont International Film Festival — Located in Burlington, Vermont on the edge of Lake Champlain, VTIFF's vision is to be a premiere showcase of quality cinema in the region. The VTIFF fellowship will be awarded to an emerging Vermont-based screenwriter, filmmaker and/or creative producer showing tremendous promise and talent. The fellowship covers fees and meals at the Labs and includes a free copy of Final Draft 9, courtesy of Final Draft.

A drop-down menu on the Stowe Story Labs application allows applicants to apply for appropriate fellowships. All applicants who apply and later learn they are quarter-finalists with the PAGE Awards (in other words in the same year as the Lab applied to) will be assumed to have applied for the PAGE Fellowship.
