Stowe Story Labs and Tangerine Entertainment are pleased to announce five finalists for the first annual Tangerine Fellowship to the Labs. The non-profit Stowe Story Labs run from September 12 – 15 at the Helen Day Art Center in Stowe, Vermont and bring emerging screenwriters, filmmakers and creative producers from around the world together with top industry mentors.
The five finalists are:
- Katherine Lindberg and Jodi Gibson for their science fiction screenplay IN BARDO
- Kirsten Fairchilds for her comedy A SERIES OF SANTAS
- Tatia Rosenthal for her drama/comedy script PRODUCT PLACEMENT
- Via Buksbazen for her magic realism script RADISH BABY
- Vickie Speegle for her drama LOVED ONES
“These six writers have genuine talent for imaginative storytelling and their unique projects have the potential for standing out in the marketplace. Choosing these five projects from the general pool was difficult enough; choosing one fellow from the finalists will be very hard work,” said David Rocchio, director and founder of the Labs.
Tangerine Entertainment founding partner Amy Hobby agrees, “It was an overall strong pool of writers submitting for the Tangerine Fellowship. Like David, I wish we could just wave a wand and bring all five finalists to the labs.”
The 2015 Tangerine Fellow will be announced no later than Saturday, August 5.
Tangerine Entertainment, a groundbreaking production company and community builder for movies and media by women directors, is sponsoring this new fellowship to be awarded to an outstanding female screenwriter, filmmaker or creative producer to attend the 2015 Stowe Story Labs.
