Stowe Story Labs exists to help emerging screenwriters, filmmakers and creative producers get work made and seen.

Spring Writers' Retreat

Application season for 2017 / 2018 Programs is now closed.

Spring Writers' Retreat

The writers’ retreat offers a rare opportunity for participants to invest five days in their writing and their professional development.

  • Daily structured one hour, small group,  peer to peer meetings with each gathering focusing on one project.
  • Group workshop sessions on subjects vital to developing the craft and navigating the business of screenwriting.
  • Shared meal times, evening drinks and activities in the area giving an opportunity for broader conversations between peers and mentors.
  • Time to reflect and write.

Application to the 2017 Fall Lab are now being accepted. (This is the process to use to participate in all of our 2017/2018 season of programs.)

Our vision is to support the collaborative process of writers, filmmakers and creative producers as they work to create wonderful films.

Through the labs, retreats, ongoing mentoring and participation in film markets, we hope to build a powerful tool both to compel projects forward and into production and to build a strong community of story tellers who work together, support and nurture each other, and get great works made and seen.
