Stacey A. Davis
BOARD MEMBER
Stacey Davis is an award-winning filmmaker and entertainment lawyer. In various producer roles, her films include McVeigh (Tribeca); Jockey (Sundance); Sword of Trust (SXSW), Little Sister (SXSW, named by “The New Yorker” as the best film of 2016); and 1985 (SXSW). She is currently producing a feature documentary about the Alabama Supreme Court’s IVF ruling, entitled Show Me The Line.
As a writer, Davis highlights dynamic female characters with authentic voices and her stories shine a light on complex, funny women. She’s written/produced five short films (directing four of them), which have screened at over 60 festivals around the world. She has participated in Squaw Valley’s Screenwriting Conference, the Stowe Story Labs’ Narrative Lab as well as its Writer’s Retreat program (in Stowe, VT and Connemara, Ireland), and was recently accepted into the inaugural BendFilm: BaseCamp.
As an entertainment lawyer, she’s represented A24, Hartbeat, and others on a variety of projects, including the Sundance 2024 premiere of Rob Peace and A24’s Minari (Golden Globe Winner), MAXXXINE, The Iron Claw, Janet Planet, Earth Mama (Sundance), All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt (Sundance), The Inspection (Toronto), Pearl (Venice), X and The Death of Dick Long (Sundance). Davis serves on the Board of Directors for The Sidewalk Film Center + Cinema and Stowe Story Labs, and her law firm funds the Black Lens Filmmaker Grant through the Sidewalk Film Festival.
