Marketing & Operations Coordinator (Part Time/Remote), Stowe Story Labs

About: Stowe Story Labs is a nonprofit dedicated to helping emerging and established screenwriters, filmmakers, and creative producers develop skills and projects. Our goal is to help advance our community members’ work and through that to bend the world a bit through story.

The Position: The Marketing & Operations Coordinator is a core team member responsible for content creation and management (social, e-mail, web, and earned media), logistical and administrative support related to program management, and program delivery. We are seeking applicants who have:

  • Strong organizational and management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrate the ability to work well remotely

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment

Job Details

  • Part-Time (20-hours per week)

  • Salaried: $26,000 - $30,000 per year

  • Entry-level position with opportunity for advancement and room for growth within the organization

  • Mostly remote with travel 1-3 times yearly for program facilitation (additional funds are paid for program management, and lodging and travel is covered)

  • Set schedule/hours per day during business hours so we know when you are online and available. We offer flexible, remote working hours and are open to change, meaning your schedule with Stowe does not have to be set in stone each week, as long as it is communicated with management ahead of time.

o   Must be accessible via phone and email during agreed upon working hours

o   Must keep timesheets

  • Vacation/Earned Days Off Policy:

o   Year 1: 2 weeks paid vacation, 4 paid sick days, federal holidays

o   Year 2: 3 weeks paid vacation, 8 paid sick days, federal holidays

o   Year 3: 4 weeks paid vacation, paid sick days as needed with documentation

o   Year 4: PTO as needed/wanted subject to review, discussion, and scheduling

Responsibilities

  • Content creation, copywriting, planning, editing, scheduling, and management for digital platforms such as social media, e-mail (MailChimp), and web (SquareSpace)

  • Intermediate graphic design (Canva and/or Adobe Suite experience is a plus) for social and digital materials such as testimonials and success stories

  • Monitor film/tv industry trends and events to inform turnkey, organic marketing strategy

  • Manage and coordinate partner marketing communications including creating media kits

  • Curate photography and videography for marketing and grant application use (video editing experience a plus)

  • Support Founder and Director with earned media outreach and press release drafting

  • Assist Operations Director with program preparation and logistics such as building, writing, and designing schedules, participant books, laurels, ancillary materials, and other administrative tasks

  • Assist Operations Director and Director of Enrollment with on-the-ground program delivery, including event set up, printing, schedule management, and other event management tasks
