Ciara Wardlow

Ciara is the development associate at BOOM! Studios, where she works on film and television adaptations of the comic book publisher’s extensive library of original titles. She previously worked at Paramount Pictures and the production company Maven Screen Media. A 2023 HRTS Foundation Fellow and a 2021 Film Independent Project Involve Fellow, she executive produced the shorts Calabaza and The Mason Ring, which took home the award for “Best Short” at the Oscar-qualifying Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival in 2022. In her past life as a film critic, her bylines included The Hollywood Reporter, RogerEbert.com, Film School Rejects, and Pajiba.
