Eszter Angyalosy

Eszter Angyalosy is a screenwriter and story editor based in Hungary. She is the head of studies of the prestigious Torino Series Lab. She collaborates as a tutor and lecturer with numerous international screenwriting labs and workshops, such as Eureka Series, Serial Eyes, Internationale Filmschule Köln, or Story Academy. She started her career in the book industry in 2008 before transitioning to TV as a story editor for HBO Hungary in 2015. She left the company in 2018 and began working as a freelance writer and consultant. As a story editor, she has been working on TV projects from around the world. Her writing credits include, among others, the YA novel Wonderland, published in 2015; the HBO original documentary Divas (2021); the multiple award-winning short fiction Last Chance (2022), her debut as a director; the Hungarian adaptation of the French crime-comedy procedural series HPI; and the comic thriller series Frust directed by Oscar-winner Danis Tanović. Her latest novel, Camille’s Secret was published in 2025.
