Karol Griffiths
Karol is a development consultant, script editor, and producer with over 20 years of experience across theatre, film, and television. Based in the UK, she currently serves as Head of Development at SILVER REEL. Her recent projects include Robin And The Hoods for Sky, Fallen for Night Train Media, Paradise Highway for Lionsgate, and Escape From Pretoria for Footprint Films.
Her journey began in theatre, working with companies including The Steppenwolf Theatre Company, The Public Theatre, and Yale Repertory Theatre, as well as on Broadway. She gained hands-on experience in various roles—from writer's assistant to script supervisor and editor—before transitioning into development and, more recently, producing.
Throughout her career, Karol has collaborated with notable creatives including Joel and Ethan Coen, Steven Spielberg, Pamela Fryman, James Burrows, Jenji Kohan, Kevin Hood and Moira Buffini. Her television work spans projects like Above Suspicion, How I Met Your Mother, Friends, Just Shoot Me, and Humans.
Karol holds a Master of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama and a postgraduate diploma from the National Film and Television School. She is the author of "The Art of Script Editing: A Practical Guide to Script Development," a book widely used in screenwriting programs and universities worldwide.
As a passionate advocate for writers, Karol regularly collaborates with Film Commissions and Writers' Guilds internationally, supporting storytellers from around the globe.
