Karol Griffiths

Karol Griffiths is a development consultant, script editor, and writing mentor—in the past two years, she’s also been producing. Recent projects include Escape From Pretoria for Footprint Films; Paradise Highway for Lionsgate; and Fallen, an upcoming Silver Reel and Night Train Media TV series. Her book, The Art Of Script Editing—A Practical Guide To Script Development, is highly regarded and used as a textbook for screenwriting programs and universities internationally. Karol’s diverse career began in theatre, working with some of the most respected companies in America, including The Steppenwolf Theatre Company, The Public Theatre, Yale Repertory Theatre, and on Broadway. She segued into film and television as a reader and script supervisor, and progressed into development and script editing—working for a wide variety of talent, production companies, and studios. Some feature highlights include working with Joel & Ethan Coen, Steven Spielberg, Seth Macfarlane, and Moira Buffini. Some television highlights include Above Suspicion, Roseanne, Friends, Just Shoot Me, How I Met Your Mother, and Humans. Karol works with various Film Commissions and Writers’ Guilds around the globe. She has a Master of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama and a Script Development Diploma from NFTS. Karol is a passionate advocate for writers and feels very privileged to work with storytellers from around the world.
