Stacey A. Davis
In twenty words or less, Stacey is a mother, a wife, an advocate, a little blue dot in a big red state and a filmmaker. In various producer roles, her films include Bird in Hand (Tribeca 2025); McVeigh (Tribeca); Jockey (Sundance); Sword of Trust (SXSW), Little Sister (SXSW, named by “The New Yorker” as the best film of 2016); and 1985 (SXSW). She’s currently producing the documentary feature, SHOW ME THE LINE, which has garnered support from the following organizations: New Orleans Film Society Southern Producer’s Lab (Producing Fellow), Filmshop Docshop South, BendFilm: Base Camp (Fellow) and rePROFilm & Peace is Loud's Collective Lens.
As a writer, Davis highlights dynamic female characters with authentic voices and her stories shine a light on complex, funny women. She’s written/produced five short films (directing four of them), which have screened at over 60 festivals around the world. She has participated in Squaw Valley’s Screenwriting Conference, the Stowe Story Labs’ Narrative Lab as well as its Writer’s Retreat program (in Stowe, VT and Connemara, Ireland), and the inaugural BendFilm: BaseCamp.
As an entertainment lawyer, she’s represented A24, MUBI, Hartbeat, and others on a variety of projects, including the Sundance 2025 premiere of OPUS and A24’s WARFARE, DEATH OF A UNICORN, Minari (Golden Globe Winner), MAXXXINE, The Iron Claw, Janet Planet, Earth Mama (Sundance), All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt (Sundance), The Inspection (Toronto), Pearl (Venice), X and The Death of Dick Long (Sundance). She’s the past president of the Board of Directors for The Sidewalk Film Center + Cinema, currently serves on the Board of Directors for Stowe Story Labs, and her law firm sponsors the Black Lens Filmmaker Grant through the Sidewalk Film Festival. She enjoys traveling, heated political debates and anything smothered in cheese or chocolate.
