THE STOWE STORY LABS VETERANS FELLOW:
2025 Veterans Fellow
Lynelle White (Air Force) — Los Angeles, CA, USA — Act Two // Dramedy TV – 1 hour
Logline: A timid, 45 year-old data analyst who lives life vicariously through her daydreams, often to her own detriment, embarks on a true-life adventure to become a Hollywood screenwriter despite her dysfunctional, grief-stricken family. THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY meets AMERICAN FICTION.
Bio: Lynelle White is a former Air Force pilot turned screenwriter. Her TV writing credits include BLACK LIGHTNING, Z NATION and ARMY WIVES. While attending UCLA’s MFA in Screenwriting program, Lynelle was awarded the NAACP/NBC Universal Television Fellowship and the Women in Film (WIF) Eleanor Perry Writing Award. She was also a fellow in Film Independent’s Episodic Lab. Lynelle’s latest script, ACT TWO, was recently selected for “The Women’s List”, a curated list of the top unproduced scripts written by women writers. In her writing, Lynelle enjoys blending genres and finding a way to put a twist on a familiar story that reflects her POV as a nerdy, Black, Gen X woman. She is currently pitching a heartwarming one-hour drama series about the resilience of a found family of Veterans connected through a VFW post. As a pilot in the Air Force, Lynelle flew combat missions in support of operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
