Her action-horror short film Bloodtraffick played at twenty-five festivals, won eight prizes, including Best Actress at HollyShorts, and is distributed by the Horror Collective (Entertainment Squad) on Amazon Prime. Jen’s two web series have earned over 18 honors, including a Webby Award and a Streamy nomination.
She has been hired to write TV pilots and features, and her scripts have earned placements with Stowe Story Lab, PAGE, Stage 32, and Screencraft, and have advanced to the second round of both the Sundance Episodic and Sundance Feature Development Track. As a producer of AAPI features and shorts, Jen has collectively won over 100 awards, including being long-listed for the Oscars.
An awkward math nerd who graduated from high school at 13, Jen almost failed out of Bryn Mawr College, but managed to squeak into Tulane Law School where she developed a life-long obsession with blindingly spicy crawfish. She’s also worked as a real estate lawyer in Virginia, a distressed debt trader in Austria, an investment banker in London, and a robotics coach and Girl Scouts Co-Chair in Hong Kong.
Jen founded her Hawai’i based entertainment company Studio SKYFIRE in 2022 to create elevated genre with an Asian twist in film, TV, and comics. Studio SKYFIRE is proud to partner with Stowe Story Labs to offer The Stowe/SKYFIRE Fellowship for an emerging genre screenwriter. She is also currently developing an AAPI-inclusive IP and Story incubator.
