Lucy Tian

ACADEMIC INTERN

Lucy Tian is an aspiring producer and director studying Film & TV at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Set to graduate in May 2025, she has a lot of experience in both cinematic and theatrical productions, with roles spanning across various creative disciplines. She challenges herself with each new project, exploring genres from comedic musicals to heartfelt dramas. Her work spans narrative shorts, music videos, short-form commercials, and new media projects, bringing an interdisciplinary approach to storytelling.

Her most recent musical short, “So Far, So Close,” is screening at various festivals and received wide acclaim. Her upcoming narrative short, “The Gift” is currently in post-production and is projected to premiere in 2025.

As a filmmaker, Lucy loves digging into her past for authentic stories that speak for her, stories that celebrate the ups and downs of life, stories that explore themes of family, dreams, adulthood, and beyond. With a strong passion for filmmaking and the arts, she will continue to find projects that inspire and spark conversations for years to come.
