Aaron Farrell

Aaron Farrell is Head of Drama for Irish production company ShinAwiL. He is responsible for selecting a distinctive slate of projects with strong critical and commercial appeal, and getting these projects financed and onto the screen.

In 2023 he will produce Cry From The Sea starring Dominic Cooper and Sarah Gadon, along with a couple of other projects yet to be announced.

Last year, Aaron produced the feature film The Miracle Club starring Maggie Smith, Laura Linney and Kathy Bates, which premiered at Tribeca. He was also executive producer on the TV series Clean Sweep (RTE, Sundance Now), The Doll Factory (Paramount+), Maryland (ITV) and The Catch (Channel 5). Previous producer and executive producer roles for ShinAwiL include the TV series Miss Scarlet And The Duke (PBS Masterpiece, Alibi), The Spectacular (vpro), and feature film The Cured (TIFF 2017).

Prior to working for ShinAwiL, Aaron was a production executive on Vikings and The Borgias. He co-produced the feature films Calvary (Sundance 2014), Tomato Red, and CherryBomb (Berlinale 2009). Aaron sits on the Screen Producers Ireland Film and TV Drama committee and holds an MA in Film Studies, and a BA in English and Economics, both from University College Dublin, Ireland. He has been a guest speaker at UCD, NUIG, and TUD and has sat on several industry panels at festivals and conferences.
